Can you believe these sketches?! The line looks very girly, romantic and a little glamorous. Target is giving me my designer fix. Stylist turned designer Kate Young is launching a fashion line at Target. She’s known as the stylist to stars like Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams. She’s consulted for top brands and styled runway shows for designers such as Derek Lam, Nina Ricci, Peter Som, Yigal Azrouël and, of course, Target. Most recently she styled the Jason Wu for Target campaign.

“With this collection, I wanted to design standout pieces that allow women to experiment with fashion and create their own red carpet moments.”

We can expect to see a tuxedo jumpsuit, a satin peplum cocktail number, sweet shifts with Peter Pan collars, polka-dot bodysuits and whimsical blossom prints.

It’s Kate Young’s first capsule collection for Target which will launch on April 14. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few pieces from Missoni and Prabal Gurung lines. The line will cost around $14.99 to $89.99.

In a dream life, I would have also worked at Vogue and tried my stint at being a designer. HAH, I can barely sew OR sketch! Young also worked as an assistant to Anna Wintour at Vogue before becoming a stylist. She’s married to Keith Abrahamsson who’s the director of Mexican Summer records.

There’s a music and fashion connection there. The co-founder of Mexican Summer records Andres Santo Domingo is married to Lauren who’s also a contributing editor to Vogue! As you can see just above, they are effortlessly stylish. Ah, power couples!
