Oscar Highlights

Did you also cringe, laugh and cry happy tears while watching the Oscars? In a tribute to old Hollywood, glam and center-stage entertainment ruled the Oscars this year.

Strapless dresses and more strapless dresses were all over the red carpet! Here are my favorites:

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

Amanda Seyfriend in Alexander McQueen

Halle Berry channeling her inner Bond Girl in Versace

Jennifer Aniston in Valentino

I loved Adele’s dress, she looked stunning and sang beautifully. Somebody brought attention to the fact that Adele and Taylor Swift are about the same age. WHAT?!

That awkward moment when Seth MacFarlane sings about boobs. Uhhhhh okay??? There were some other funny moments, but overall, there were a little too many sexist jokes for me to handle. Can’t help it, but I’d like to see Amy Poehler and Tina Fey host the Oscar’s someday! They do a great job of not offending anybody. They are just great people.

Kristen Stewart was limping due to an injury. She accidentally stepped in glass. She seemed a bit off, but I suppose that’s unusualness is what makes her a great character for the Twilight series.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Daniel Radcliffe are adorable here singing and dancing.

In a rare performance, I loved seeing the cast of Les Misérables sing. It was a very different side of their talent.

Best Director- Ang Lee for “Life of Pi”
Best Picture- Argo
Best Supporting Actress/Actor- Anne Hathaway for “Les Misérables” and Christoph for “Django Unchained”
Best Actress/Actor- Jennifer Lawrence for “Silver Linings Playbook” and Daniel Day-Lewis “Lincoln”

Poor J-Law she fell when she went up to accept her Best Actress award! But hey, it happens, especially when you’re walking around in heals and a poofy gown. Did anyone else see Bradley Cooper’s eyes tear up for her when she won? awwww!

We couldn’t help but fall in love with her more when she got star struck over Jack Nicholson who interrupted her interview. He jokingly flirted with her.
“You look like an old girl friend of mine.” he said.
“Oh really? Do I look like a new girl friend?” responded Jennifer, who then blushed and had an “oh my god” moment.
