Monaco Royal Andrea Casiraghi and fiancée Tatiana Santo Domingo prepare to welcome first child

The world is watching on for a potential heir to the Monegasque throne. Princess Caroline’s son Andrea Casiraghi is expecting a child with his fiancée Tatiana Santo Domingo.

Until Prince Albert and his wife Charlene become parents, the baby could potentially be third-in-line to the throne. The first in line to the Monegasque throne is Princess Caroline.

Tatiana and Andrea have yet to marry, but Princess Caroline officially announced the couple plan to wed, so the royal baby’s place in the line of succession should be secure. According to reports, Tatiana will give birth in Monaco although she and Andrea currently use Paris as their base.

The world is expecting to see Tatiana and the new baby participate at official events such as Monaco National Day, which takes place on November 19. Andrea’s siblings Charlotte and Pierre Casiraghi are always present at such events.

Tatiana Santo Domingo and Andrea Casiraghi have known each other for seven years and met while studying at the same school in Paris. Andrea is the grandson of American actress and Princess Grace Kelly, and he’s the son of the late Stefano Casiraghi, the second husband of Caroline, who died in a boating accident off Monte Carlo in 1990.

Tatiana is the granddaughter of the late Julio Santo Domingo, named by Forbes in 2011 as the second richest man in Colombia. Both Tatiana and Lauren Santo Domingo, the co-founder of ModaOperandi and a Vogue contributing editor, married to Tatiana’s half-uncle, Andres Santo Domingo, are prominent socialites in New York. Andres and Lauren’s philanthropic involvements are featured on Cultivating Culture.

In 2011, Tatiana Santo Domingo launched the Muzungu Sisters fashion venture in partnership with Dana Alikhani. Tatiana is also a supporter of various charities, including the Motrice Foundation.
