Renting the Runway: Beyoncé’s Newest Fashion Collaboration

Beyoncé Knowles is at it again. No, I don’t mean her upcoming The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, or her new album, or even rumors circulating a second pregnancy with husband, Jay-Z. While all of these things continue to push the performer into the public spotlight, she also has her hands in a new collaborative project, this one involving fashion.

Now, fans and fashionistas can borrow looks designed by the star from “The Beyoncé Boutique,” a special collection presented by Rent The Runway, an online retailer and style hub that allows users to rent high-end (and high cost!) designer looks for less.

In honor of her greatly anticipated world tour, Beyoncé has partnered with the company, hand-selecting her favorite garments and giving fans the chance to dress up just like her for a night, just in time for the United States portion of The Mrs. Carter Show. Rent the Runway is innovating the fashion retail industry, by giving women the chance to rent high-end clothing instead of spending hundreds of dollars on signature dresses. There are four simple steps in the Rent the Runway process: find it, book it, wear it, and return it, a process that is guided by online stylists.

Beyoncé, a contemporary style icon, is as famous for her daring fashion choices as she is for being a strong role model for women. She has always sought to empower her fans with her music and with her other professional endeavors, including in fashion. In a recent press release the performer explains,

Making women feel confident and beautiful is something I’ve always been passionate about. That’s why joining forces with Rent the Runway was so organic. It’s more than just access to beautiful clothes; it’s about making women look and feel their best.”

You can rent pieces from “The Beyoncé Boutique,” including dresses, rompers, and jumpsuits, starting as low as $50. Visit the online rental shop today to see Beyoncé’s entire curated collection.
