Autumn’s All About the Falling Leaves, Pumpkin Spice, Scarves and Sweaters

If you happen to live in a place where any given autumn day looks like a gold and orange-hued postcard picture, then you’re probably well into your collection of sweaters and scarves already. Though many fashionistas are reluctant to trade in their shorts and summer dresses for tights and lined jackets, nothing says fall like cozy sweaters and warm, pretty scarves to sip your hot apple cider in. If you have to bundle up for chillier days, why not do it in style, right?

Happily, autumn is the season where it’s easiest to be comfortable, and stylish. When the leaves begin to fall you know it’s time to dig through your wardrobe to find those comfy turtlenecks, pullovers, and chunky cardigans. Vogue Daily kicked off its “31 Days of Sweaters” today with a pricey graphic cardigan from Saint Laurent, and promises to reveal the coziest knitwear for fall each day this month.

The Cut also revealed its top picks for the most stylish scarves for autumn. Their selection of scarves range from cute, affordable pieces from retailers like H&M, Madewell, and Modcloth to super expensive, ultra-luxurious scarves that will set you back more than $400! Bold, graphic patterns and even kaleidoscope-inspired prints seem to dominate the newer scarves in fashion right now, but if you’re in the market for a cozy new accessory, chances are you’ll find a huge selection that compliments your personal style.

One of the best things about fall fashion is that your personal collection of knitwear and scarves will always make you feel comfortable, while staying fashionable. After all, chunky sweater silhouettes paired with boots and denim is a look that isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Go ahead, bundle up for autumn in style!
