Go unfollow all those fake Prince William and Kate Middleton Instagram accounts now because the Internet just got a little more regal today. The real royals, Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate, have officially joined the filtered-picture and hashtag-filled platform with the name @kensingtonroyal. Well, at least their palace has.
Early on January 14th, the first royal Instagram was put out in the world. It was a grainy, filtered shot of the front of St. James’s Palace with the announcement of Prince Harry joining NBA all-star Carmelo Anthony in presenting the first #Coachcore program graduates with their certificates.
What comes next to post? We will have to wait and see. There is no bio attached to the account or a benchmark verifying it is really them. They haven’t had too many posts since joining either. So stay tuned and get ready to double-tap as fast as you can on their pictures.
The couple had just joined Twitter earlier this week and now it seems as if the young royals’ New Year’s resolution is to be more social media savvy. The British Monarchy even gave an official formal introduction to @KensingtonRoyal on Wednesday. This was followed by a formal introduction from the account itself, claiming it as the official account for the royals, including Prince Harry. Hopefully we will get more exciting, behind the scenes posts from the family in the future, including some cute shots of Prince George.
